Orlando Business Journal - 11/4/11

A Tampa development firm wants to build a new seven-story medical office building near Orlando Regional Medical Center south of downtown Orlando. Carlyle Investments Inc. plans to demolish three vacant office buildings built in the 1950s and build in their place an 80,028-square-foot office building with first-floor retail and a 350-space interior parking garage.

The existing buildings, which total 10,000 square feet, are on 2.1 acres on Columbia Street. Construction costs could range from $8 million-$16 million and the project could create up to 160 temporary construction jobs.
